Gophers blow 24-6 halftime lead but win it on Rhys-Lloyd's 35-yard field goal as time expires, setting off his famous cross-field dash and hurdle over Badger bench to reach The Axe first. Quarterback Assad Abdul-Khaliq injures a shoulder in the first half and is replaced by a rarely used back-up from Wisconsin. Can you name him?
The Wisconsin quarterback has a 305-yard passing day. He will go on to back up Peyton Manning for several seasons with the Colts. Can you name him?
A Badger wide-out has 6 catches, 1 for a touchdown. He will labor in relative obscurity with the Bills for years, despite putting up big numbers. Can you name him?
A 5'8" Gopher corner back from Ohio makes a key interception at the Minnesota 10-yard line to blunt a Badger threat in the 4th quarter with the score tied at 27. Can you name him?
A Badger tight end catches 2 touchdown passes. He will go on to NFL success with the Texans. Can you name him?
The Gophers are maddeningly in love with the sideline fade pass throughout this season. It rarely works but it is successful on Minnesota's winning drive on 3rd and long. A 6'5" JC transfer from California makes a spectacular leaping catch, wrestling the ball away from a Wisconsin defensive back near midfield. Can you name him?
Oh...I forgot one other little helpful contribution. Maroney and Barber each rush for 135 yards plus!
