Gophers trail early, 24-9. With score tied at 55, Darryl Mitchell and Kevin McHale go on a 9-0 run to put Minnesota up for good. Michigan gets 23 points from a 6'5" shooting guard/small forward from Omaha. He was the first Michigan player to lead the team in scoring in all four of his seasons and left Michigan as the Big 10 Conference all-time leading scorer. A #1 draft pick of the Lakers, he played 9 NBA seasons. Can you name him?

That would be Mike McGee. He was born in Tyler, TX and then moved to Omaha, NE.

You always have interesting pieces of information re: Gopher sports!

Thanks.
