Gophers get 14 points and 11 boards from Ray Cronk and 16 points from a 6'8" forward from New Prague who would go on to one season in the NBA with the Lakers and Pistons. Can you name him?
Bonus Question- 17 points and 16 boards are recorded by a Hawkeye who will go on to be a very useful role player on some great Celtic teams (I can still see him in those low cut Converse blacks, passing to Sam Jones for that 18 foot bank shot he perfected) before going on to a LONG NBA coaching career. Can you name him?

Ron Johnson was the Gopher and Don Nelson was the Hawkeye. Loved the Ron Johnson hook shot.

Mr Nomellini, I think my dad sat right in front of you at a gopher basetball game in 1949 or 50 (watching bud grant play). Also, Sid Hartman wallked in front of my dad blocking his view for a bitd. You should have yelled at Sid to sit down while the game was going on.

Was Eric Magdanz on that 60 team? He was my gym teacher at Roosevelt...led the Gophers in scoring 2 or 3 seasons in the early 60's.
