Gophers crush unbeaten Michigan with 23 points from Larry Mikan and 20 from Al Nunness. Michigan gets 18 points from a 6'8"" forward from Hamtramck who will go on to an outstanding 11-year career with the Rockets. He coached for years in the NBA also but is best known for terrible injuries suffered in a brawl with the Lakers. Can you name him?

Leo and others: Can you name the Laker who punched him? Can you name his college? Hint, they were a Gopher opponent this year.

Doc- Kermit Washington from American University. I went to school across town at Catholic University and saw Washington play. He was truly a man among boys.
