Gophers score upset at Kentucky Invitational in Lexington. George Kline has 18 points and a 6'3" forward from Slayton has 22. After his sophomore year at Minnesota this player went into the military for 2 years before coming back for his junior and senior years. He went on to be drafted by the Cincinnati Royals but did not play for them. Can you name him?
 

Leo: I think it might be Jed Dommeyer. He became the basketball coach at Northfield High School.
 

Doc- Jed Dommeyer is correct. Regarding yesterday's side question about the 1961 Utah State football team, yes, Bill Munson was the starting QB. Jim Turner was the back-up QB who kicked for the Jets for years and the HOF tackle was Merlin Olsen. Thank you!
