This colored field thing has officially jumped the shark

They really are looking to be Under Armor's version of Oregon aren't they?

Rumor is that UA will be using the black field to showcase their new "cold black" line of products which reflect sunlight and heat (hence why the field won't be 120 degrees in the sun).

And everyone said I was crazy when I suggested the Gophers should use a gold field. At least that would look like dead grass kind of! :) Though I suppose you could argue the Maryland field would look like a freshly plowed field.

If this field is a reality, I can't imagine what Oregon will do to one up them.

The NCAA needs to put a stop to this madness.

I seem to remember that the NCAA said they were not going to allow non-green fields after EWU and Central Arkansas changed theirs to Red and purple, respectively.

They have to pass a rule first. I don't believe they've done so.

Well Maryland just shot to *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# any chance they had at getting a B1G invite...

They will turn on the neon field for night games - Black Lights.
