2. Raiders must keep win in perspective
It was an absolute rout over perhaps the worst team MTSU has played in the FBS era. So for all the positives of the lopsided victory, the Blue Raiders must be reminded that no other games this season will be so easy. That especially goes for the many newcomers that played and performed well. Three players scored a TD in their MTSU debut, and many more recorded highlights against the over-matched opponent.
Next up is a road game against Big Ten member Minnesota and then rivalry games versus Western Kentucky and Memphis. Head coach Rick Stockstill at least said his team recognizes the tougher challenges ahead.
"Oh, we know that," Stockstill said. "We're not going score (61) next week against that Minnesota team. We know that, and we have enough we've got to clean up to get ready for Minnesota."
