My one else check out the 30 for 30 the U part 2?

If this needs to be tied to the Gophers somehow, I can reach and point to the players wanting no part of Barry Alvarez coaching them. And Alvarez was one of the people Shapiro took advantage of.

Overall, really interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The part with Shapiro just shows as well the power that boosters can have. As long as you can write a check, a lot of people won't ask questions.

Watching it too. I laughed when they talked about Shalala wanting him to coach. Players get wind of it, go to the A.D., and say.........."Ummmm.....no way that guy is coaching us. We'll take Coker."

How would things be different if Alvarez leaves Wisconsin to coach Miami? Sort of crazy to think about.

I watched it that 2001 team was absolutely loaded. Forgot how bad that pass interference call that gave Ohio State another chance in the 2002 National Championship was. Loved that the players wanted no part of Alvarez and immediately went to the AD to say no you're not hiring this guy.
