Mid-week update after I missed the last several weeks - been busy and, quite frankly, ornery about our team. No longer :)

My rankings, week 9:

1. Indiana - Still the top dog, even after their loss last night.
2. Michigan - Although recent struggles have them reeling, their win over a resurgent Illinois team on Sunday keeps them up here.
3. Michigan State - Rough stretch last week and it doesn't get any easier with a trip to Ann Arbor looming.
4. Ohio State - Got their 2nd win versus a ranked opponent on Sunday.
5. Wisconsin - Taking care of business, and should finish strong.
6. Illinois - After a horrid start to the conference season, they've bounced back in a big way. Two road games to end the season will be big.
7. Minnesota - Last night's win jumps them up a few notches - if it's a sign of things to come, by season's end they will be dangerous.
8. Iowa - They had a glimmer of hope - then Nebraska happened.
9. Purdue - Boilers beat the teams they should, and lose to the teams they should. Pedestrian squad in West Lafayette this year with no signature wins to speak of.
10. Nebraska - Miles keeps his kids playing hard, evidenced by last weekend's win against Iowa.
11. Northwestern - Injuries have decimated this once plucky team. Haven't been within 20 of their last three opponents.
12. Penn State - Still winless, but there's hope - their last three games, they've lost by 2, 8 and 5 points, respectively. They are competing and, for the first time this season, I feel like they could get a conference win before the season is done.

Conference games of the week:

2/27: Michigan @ Penn State: It would be a monumental upset - on the scale of TCU/Kansas - but PSU played Michigan tough at Crisler not two weeks ago.

3/3: Michigan State @ Michigan: Big game at the top of the standings. It could decide who gets a 1 and who gets a 2 seed in the big dance.

Home/Away Standings:

Through 2/26 this year, the home/away standings:

Indiana (+4) 1 away game remaining
Michigan State (+4) 1 away game remaining
Michigan (+3) 2 away games remaining
Wisconsin (+3) 2 away games remaining
Ohio State (+2) 2 away games remaining
Illinois (-1) 2 away games remaining
Minnesota (-1) 2 away games remaining
Purdue (-1) 2 away games remaining
Iowa (-1) 1 away game remaining
Northwestern (-3) 1 away game remaining
Nebraska (-4) 2 away games remaining
Penn State (-7) 2 away games remaining
