-Indiana beat Illinois at home as well, they took MSU to OT @MSU ... they seem to have gotten better
-Indiana had a player contribute most thought was out, Jones.
-MN played with no effort for much of the game, shot free throws horribly, yet only lost by 3 and had a chance at the end ... Overall, Gophers didn't lose because of lack of talent, but lack of effort and hustle.
-I felt that Rodney played pretty good defense, Ralph showed some aggressiveness, Austin Hollins played phenomenal
-MN pressed and played solid defense when it counted. Even without Al, if we can play that defense with that effort for an entire game, we will be in every game.
-This team is probably not happy about this loss (probably more frustrated than any fan) and it just so happens the next game is back at home, against the number 1 team in the country. The stadium will be on fire and the players will be fired up as well.
I, like many others, had this game as a sure win. It stinks that MN lost, but fortunately once again it is not a season of one game. Austin showed he can shoot threes and free throws, Blake can obviously shoot (that's two shooters now) Austin proved he can play defense, Rodney is quick enough to guard a lot of people. I am frustrated and disapointed, but I am not ready to call it a wrap.
On to tOSU, I am guessing a lot of players were on to OSU this morning, so now its time to make it happen!
****EDIT: MSU, while down this year, is losing by 20 @ Iowa ...
