With all of the hype around OSU fans' displeasure with Pryor and the discontent within their fan base, it would be great if we can cause an early turnover or two in the first quarter. If we can do that and get off to an early lead, there is a decent chance that we can take the crowd out of it at worst, and even entice a few boos at best. Pryor may start to doubt himself a bit and we can maybe jump on them.

It sure would be nice!

Go Gophers!!

I agree, I think this is our only chance to make this game interesting...if they get up early it'll likely be another long day.

But I have been in the 'shoe when things get bad, and that crowd can turn quick on the home team. I was there in '99 or so, when Ron Dayne and bucky ran all over them, and that crowd was ready to start a posse to hunt down John Cooper and Co. Might've been the loudest boos I have ever heard at a sporting event.

I agree that an early start could be key. I was thinking that when I was posting about scripted plays. I don't know how we get it done, but I really think that we need to score early in this game, along with a/ a few key stops early on.

Great point Bleed, if the Gophers could force the Buckeyes in to an early mistake (especially an early mistake from Pryor) home field could be neutralized.

I really feel like this team needs to come in with a much more aggressive approach offensively than it did against Penn State. I think we need to admit that their are certain teams that we have very little chance to run the ball well against...and tOSU certainly qualifies. I am not advocating abandoning the run completely, but we need to come in with the idea that we're going to need to more the ball through the air. I'd love to see a deep ball to Stoudermire, Carpenter, or Green early on. I don't believe we've thrown a nine route to any of them all year.
