The Gophers aren't the first team to blow out an FCS team, nor will they be the last.

As opposed to say the murderer's row Indiana has lined up with:

Old Dominion - Sun Belt
Kenesaw State - Conference USA
Indiana State - FCS

Indiana really digging deep to test themselves with that non-conf schedule. :)

Agree that there is nothing wrong with our non-conf schedule. MAC is a solid G5 conference, Cal is in the ACC and you get one FCS exhibition game for the other guys to get some playing time.
Agree. Indianas non conference schedule is a joke.

Power 4 teams generally don't need "resume enhancers." If you have a really solid record in your conference (say one loss in the Big Ten or SEC) that gets you in. The ADs and the coaches know that. Do you really think they would schedule FCS teams if they thought it made their chances for the CFP worse? Send that memo to Ohio State please. And Florida State. And Georgia. And Colorado. And Tennessee. And Utah. And Miami. And South Carolina. And Arizona. And Missouri. And Illinois. And Pitt. And Boston College. And Iowa State. And Kansas State. And Oregon. And Arkansas. And Oklahoma. And Iowa. And USC. And BYU. And Arizona State. And more... these are some of the schools that have played FCS teams the last two weeks. And there are more scheduled for this coming weekend.

It's possible that any number of the teams you listed could end up with 2 Ls and ranked #12 - 16 in the CFP thus fall one decent win short of making it to the Big Dance.

That would be regrettable, wasting a game on a FCS team. Indiana last year was close to being out.
