I remember that fun summer of 2009 when we'd have updates on the TCF Bank Stadium construction almost every day as things neared completion. Little treats like the brick added to the interior field wall at the last minute were fun. I also remember the discussions about the scoreboard. How it was going to be the second biggest scoreboard in all of college football. There was then a discussion as it was learned that Mississippi State's scoreboard was actually a bit bigger in surface area. How could it be? THIRD BIGGEST! Noooooooooo...

Well now as the facility wars continue, we are down to 10th...

2009 seems like a lifetime ago. And, the big scoreboard often has much of its real estate devoted to ads. I suppose that is another topic...

It's still the largest screen that plays the "Dramatic Gopher" video when the opposing team is trying to kick a FG. :p

I was surprised to see Oklahoma St. and Alabama so far down on the list. With the way those two programs like to piss away money on football, you'd think a ginourmous jumbotron would be a must.

Aren't the vikings as part of their tenancy increasing the size of the TCF board? Or were they adding additional ones? They were doing something video weren't they for TCF?

Good question. I'd like to know as well. I heard about WI FI upgrades. Not sure about The video system/ Scoreboard upgrades.

Let's show the rest of the country and install in chair video screens...:p

The Vikings need to have a camera inside the video board for the quarterbacks' photos. I think that's an NFL requirement. They also need to add access to that camera platform (stairs). Maybe that's what you were thinking?
