Why not give naming rights to the whole building to the Vikings (other than I'm assuming it may be statutory and require legislative approval)? The dome is a pathetic excuse as an honorarium if that is the purpose of leaving HHH's name on the building. I would think the bleeding heart's could find some other example of government bloat to bear his name.

I didn't think it was possible, but the Vikings just keep coming up with ways to make me hate them more.
 


I thought you were kidding. I dislike named like <blank> Field and <black> Stadium anyway, but this one is especially lame. Why not just give the Dome to the Vikings, at let them lease the land it sits on for $1 per year?

The perfect stadium name for the Vikings would be Valhalla Stadium. But not in the era of naming rights. On the bright side, while I accepted selling the naming rights to the Gophers' stadium as a necessary evil, TCF Bank Stadium is a whole lot better name than Mall of America Stadium at HHH Metrodome.
 

I just happen to listening to Pink Floyd's Money right now. That pretty much sums up this entire story.
 



Just when I thought I couldn't be anymore embarrassed by that place they go and do this.
 

Funny how the day after the Twins have their last game in the dome (unless they go to the post-season), MOA rushes in to grab naming rights for the field. Is this a pro football town or what!
