A date of July 11 has been set for the second annual Huck's Ride for the Fund, a poker run fundraiser for the Coach Jerry Kill Fund, administered by the SIH Foundation.
The run will commence at Black Diamond Harley-Davidson in Marion. The run includes several scenic stops across Southern Illinois.
"Our family is extremely grateful for the commitment of Martin and Bayley Corp. and Huck's. With their involvement in making this event possible, we are able to continue to help so many people in Southern Illinois who truly need it," stated Kill, now head football coach at the University of Minnesota.
Kill created the philanthropic fund after a bout with cancer during his tenure as head coach at SIU-C in 2006. Kill and his wife, Rebecca, have continued their commitment to the Coach Kill Fund over the years.
