For the resume, for the spirits of the team, for the spirit of the fans, for the bandwagoners, for the diehards, for everything Gopher-men's-basketball related. Feels pretty dang good!

Let's go beat Iowa!

Feels awesome. Need to get to .500 and then over now in conference play. We can still get that 4th place finish if we win all the games were supposed to and take 2/3 at home vs MSU, Illinois and OSU.

Awesome!

Fantastic win. We are 2-3, have a win over the 8th ranked team and don't have to go to MSU, Ohio State or Wisconsin for the rest of the year.

Next three games are definitely winnable - Iowa, @Michigan and Northwestern.

Wow that was an exciting game. Great play by our back court!

Also, you better hope you're not ranked #8 when you face us. We're 2-0 this year against #8 ranked teams!

We should now be safely in the Top 25 for another couple weeks. Knock on wood of course.

Listening to Hoff on the post game interview right now and it sound like he has a cold. He is sniffling. Pretty good effort for a sick kid.

Yup, beat Iowa on Sunday and were are around 19 or 20. Then we need to win at a tough Michigan team and home vs NU(keep their tourney hopes ruined) to get to 5-3 before the Purdue rematch. That will put us in our final real road test with much less pressure than if we were looking at dipping back below .500 in conference.

I would think so. If we can knock off Iowa and steal a win at Michigan we should be safely in mid-teens one would think.

The Big Ten is fun this year. Anybody can win on a given night - I like years like this.

The offensive sets were very good tonight. Hoff is automatic on those mid range jumpers.

Chip's finishing around the rim is simply astounding.

This was a great team effort against a very good team.

The exciting part is how much improvement and growth is possible for this team!

Go Gophers!!!!!

Love seeing Chip on a fast break and driving baseline. Pretty much automatic.

Great TV! It was good to see the Gophers attack. Ralph, Chip, Colton, nice games. Rodney is coming. Mid range jumpers from Blake, with Trevor pulling off 10 rebounds. Best game of the year for this team. Impressed.

It will be really nice getting home games in the B1G into our schedule and stealing one on the road and against worse teams.

Great win for the Gophs, no doubt. This was as about close to a must-win for the Gophers as a January 13th game gets.

I am in no way shocked that we were able to win this game but I am a bit surprised that we were able to do it while getting out-rebounded with that being one of our biggest strengths typically.

Yeah, that's what I thought was strangest about this game, the fact that the Gopher frontcourt wasn't more productive. I thought the Boiler frontcourt shouldn't have held up that well against the Gophers, but there was some give & take - Purdue focused on controlling the paint and did a pretty good job of doing that, but they gave up some open jumpers outside the paint as a result.

we did get outrebounded but we had 9 or 10 blocks I think, so the frontcourt was dominant in that manner.

This was as close to a must win game as their can be at this point in the Big Ten season. When Purdue scored on like their first 5 possessions (and was averaging more than 2 points per possession), I was pretty worried about the Gophers. When the Blake missed a free throw to go up 9 and then Purdue took the lead in a span of like 30 seconds (exaggeration, but it felt like 30 seconds), I was very worried about the Gophers. I felt great when Al knocked in that 3, but terrible again when their was the no call on Blake's drive. It would have been great for my health if Al could have knocked in the front end of that one and one too.

Much needed win, and the Gophers must build on it. Nice to see Tubby shorten his bench considerably in the 2nd half too.

Great point on Tubby shortening his bench. Non-conference is the time to play everyone. Big Ten is when you play the players who will get you the win. The young freshman have gotten good experience and will contribute in spots the rest of the way. See Chip vs. Purdue. Mav, Chip, and Hollins will be important down the stretch but Tubby should take tonight as evidence that your best players should be on the floor as much as possible.

Yeah..in these games against the best of the Big Ten...we have to shorten the bench...that's whay it is important that the Fr are very productive and can play more minutes against the weaker teams like Ia and In...give our guys a rest.
