Lets be honest, that was some bad stuff, especially the 2nd half. Gophers have no composure come close out time.

What is the deal with Welch at the line? Also, he looks to have added some weight.

Anyhow, I'll take the W.

The first half was a thing of beauty. Not sure how you can come to that conclusion.
 


22 turnovers; many of them unforced. Several possessions where UW had 5 or 6 consecutive offensive rebounds. It was ugly.

Welch and the TE from Washington looked like brothers. What the hell?

You forgot the ugliest part. Washington had 5 consecutive shots and clanked them all. Now THAT was ugly.
 

That TE from UW was a classic bricklayer. Julian just has no lift to his game.

It seemed like the Gophers played a whole different style vs. the first half. Welch cannot be in the game at the end because he cannot shoot free throws under pressure. He cost the Gophers at Illinois because he missed a layup and free throws.
 





turnovers are ugly, wins are not.

Considering they had 15 off rebounds for the game, which is bad, did they get all of those on two or three possessions? The one time they got about 4 offensive rebounds we were really small with ingram at center, and probably 4 guards. Not pretty, but we have a ton of injuries. We are a small team now.

Second half was ugly but we won. First half was a talented team in Washington who wasn't playing that hard.

Not surprised to find the angry troll in this thread.

There were certainly some ugly points of the game, however the important thing is that we came out of the game with a win over a pretty good Washington team.

Why? Because he is able to separate "homerness" and accurately criticize the 22 turnovers. Let me say it again 22 turnovers. Not going to consistently win games like that. The current NCAA Final Four teams never turn the ball over that much.

Being an oblivious homer needs to be blocked my friend.

Thank you minngg...At least there are a few people on here who get it. Rest need to grow up.
 

I wish we would have had 10 turnovers and lost. Then at least we would have played a "clean" game. What's the point of winning if you do it while playing "ugly?" Winning is overrated in my opinion.

yep, with the way we played we should have lost and Tubby should be gone!
 

Becky fans bad mouthing the NIT...go figure. If we were to play Wisconsin right now we would kick your skunky ass
 

If UW would have showed up in the first half, its their game. But they didn't.

This is the NIT Final Four and not THE Final Four. No comparison. A 6-12 BIG team has liabilities and is most fortunate to still be playing at this time.
