and MSU, Illininois, Purdue, OSU, etc. fans that post on the basketball board.

Even though it can get "chippy" with some topics in some threads (especially with Wisconsin, I mean we ARE pretty big rivals)

It is definitley nice to read about the Gophers from another teams fans perspectives as well as how respective fan bases view their own teams.

When you read the football board, for some reason, any fans from other teams come in talking trash and leave getting trash talked. On the bball board, things seem to be a good, for the most part, conversation. Wisconsin fans could have come in here after this game being wonderful little trolls talking as much garbage as possible (some Gopher fans may have done that had we won actually ...) but came in with constructive (for the most part) comments on the game and the two teams.

before this sounds too nice ... I hope we beat every single one of the teams you cheer for, embarress them, and make them wish they never picked up a basketball or committed anywhere except the U of Minnesota

but, it is nice to actually talk about college hoops with fans of other teams, to hopefully clear up the Maroon colored glasses every so often. so. Thanks!
 

please enough about sconnie-they are lucky they don't play here this season

It is pretty ironic how most of the trolls on this board are Minnesota fans (or at least claim to be). But it is pretty cool that there are a wide variety of Big 10 basketball fans that can come here and have a good discussion instead of just ripping on and bashing each other's teams.

Appreciate the reasonable Wisconsin posters. The teams and coaches seem to get along (judging by the hugs during the post game handshakes). Lots of good Minnesota BB players on both teams. Looking forward to the day when Wisconsin will be stacked with Illinois kids.
 

Ideally, Wisconsin can produce more in-state talent and the Badgers can be stocked with guys like Tokoto and Koenig...

Boards with actual discussion (with the occasional pointed comment) are much superior to smack talk and boasting. The Badger football board has been unreadable due to a couple TCU idiots.

Tubby is a good coach who brings an interesting contrasting style to the B10 and a lot more stability and credibility than Monson. Good luck the rest of the season.
