Texas QB Gilbert to transfer

Can't see him transferring to Minnesota, but I still thought I should post this.

I would love to have him, but he really has no reason to transfer here over whoever else is gonna want him.

I wonder if he will transfer to a BCS or will go to smaller Texas school (SMU, Rice, Houston). He may like SMU and the chance to sling it around a bit.

It doesn't sound like he has graduated or anything, so he'd have to sit out a season (still has his RS).

But i'd guess he goes to an FCS school just because he doesn't have two seasons of eligibility left, he has one. He played in 2009 season, last year, and this year.

I only read the ESPN article, but it seemed like he really wasn't that great of a QB, why would we want him to transfer here? I don't think he'd do any better against B1G defenses.
