According to Temple at The Athletic Chryst was hired as an offense consultant.
That is a perfect position for Chryst who had said that the duties of an HC meeting, greeting, public speaking, etc were not for him.

When he was at Pittsburgh was the offense good?

If not, this is like when Jerry Kill got hired for an offense related role…. curious 🤔

Clearly being a head coach is not for everyone.

How much do those analyst jobs pay?

A ton of money and living in Austin. Not a bad life. Buy a nice place on one of the lakes and enjoy the weather.

Usually well south of 50k a year.

Most folks taking those jobs are doing it for reasons other than the funds.
Texas paid Gary Patterson $150K last season for the same position. Assume Chryst is getting the same.
