Texas A&M-to-SEC rumors surface yet again

If A&M and Oklahoma go to the SEC I can see the other schools abandoning the conference leaving Texas as an Independant.

Yeah, if Oklahoma and A&M leave, there really is not much left, is there?

Tech, Baylor, OKSt, Kan, KSt, IaSt, Mizz, and let's say TCU.... would an eight team conference like that be better or worse than the Big East (football) as it exists today?
 

Silly as it may seem but that conference has a better chance at survival if they could get rid of Texas.
 

It'll be interesting to see how Texas politics play into this and what kind of overt or back-channel pressure is applied to A&M to stay in the Big XII (assuming they try to leave of course).
