Speaking in basketball terms only. ...
All things considered the Big East will have done a pretty good replacing its 3 losses, Pitt (ACC), Syracuse (ACC) and West Virginia (Big 12). Certainly not an equal trade, but both Temple and Memphis are excellent basketball programs (with tradition) and should compete well in the Big East.
I suspect in the end all these changes will happen for the 2012-13 season, not the 2014-15 season as is the current plan. Look for Pitt & Syracuse to be in the ACC next season.
