Has Kill ever commented on team captains? I remember the first year there was speculation as to who may be nominated. Kill brushed it off and indicated it will all work out.
Since that time, I don't believe I've ever heard him comment on the topic. He must have his reasons for not having captains. I can see problems if a player gets in trouble, doesn't perform on the field, doesn't perform in the classroom, or just isn't good captain material.
Personally, I like the idea of game captains. A player can be rewarded for a hard week of practice, overcoming adversity, etc.
