per Teague's Q&A with the Daily:

The football team is on the brink of the top 25 and is in contention for the Big Ten West. How would you grade [head coach] Jerry Kill’s performance in reestablishing the program?

Jerry continues to manage the program in an incredible way. I’ve said on many occasions that I wish people could see him during the week and how he conducts and manages the program — and that means from a recruiting standpoint, from a practice standpoint, from just everything he does to run it. … The results of that show on the field, and we’re at a great position. It’ll be a fun year as we play the last four games.

Go Gophers!!

Page not found. Looked around the mndaily web site, couldn't find it.

Heard Reusse say the other day there's some friction between Woody and Kill. First I'd heard that. Anyone else heard those rumblings?

Seems like Kill was taking a jab at Teague earlier in the year for scheduling TCU.

Thanks. If that's all it is, no big deal.

I side with Woody on that one. Kinda' cool that the Gophers ended up playing a non-conference opponent that's in the hunt for the CFP this late in the season, not to mention playing TCU will be a great way to start the 2015 season @ TCF.

The daily's sports page is messed up. It's all articles from September and TCU. I had a palpitation when I read the front page stroy that Leidner hurt his knee......but we're all good.

If that's the case, Teague should have taken a jab at Kill for not showing up against TCU. Its like when Mijares criticized Mauer for calling for a fastball, and Mauer said "I called the fastball, but I didn't ask for him to hang it right down the middle".

I think Kill and NT get along fine for an inherited coach and a new AD. As long as things are going well there won't be any major issues but as soon as things take a turn for the worse you can bet NT will be ready to pull the plug and bring in his own guy to run the team. If the team goes on a big losing streak over the next month you can expect to see some cracks in the relationship become more apparent and the expectations for 2015 will definitely go up.

As long as the team is competitive and the fans are showing up though the two will get along just fine.

Pretty much disagree with you completely. Teague is a hoops guy and the guy he intended to use as his FB expert left for Auburn. Kill knows more about rebuilding a program and finding kids that can over achieve than anyone else Norwood is going to get and he knows it. Things have to go bad in a big way for several years before Kill is on the hot seat. Fortunately the B1G network lessens the short term sell tickets today or make a change philosophy that has ruled here since the 70's and has been a big contributor to the cycle off four year coaching cycles leading no where.
If there is any friction, it will be about the facilities priorities. JK has worked his butt off to get the football facility funded, and knows he needs it because we are surrounded by great facilities at many B1G schools. He wants it built next year, and he has not been shy about saying it.
I have no idea where the funding or the timeline stand.
