TCF Bank Stadium Field observation

I had the privilege of getting to run around on the field inside the Bank today. With the heavy rain today I have to say I was disappointed in the fields drainage system. The turf was retaining water like a pregnant woman. Things will be pretty slick for any rain games we will encounter. Still beats enduring the dome though.

It was a down pour yesterday. Not surprised at all. How often will that happen during a game?

IMO, the sloppier the better, this is the main thing lost with field turf, no mud, grass chunks, or slop.
That said, as long as the drainage field isn't malfunctioning, let it hold water, puddles, spray water as the tackle is made, slick up that ball. I love it.
