Anyone know a good place in the Cities to get Gophers related tailgating games (bag toss, etc.)?

I do know that you can get anything you want for beer drinking at any local liquor store. :drink: :drink: :drink:

craigslist has a guy that's listed as making bag toss. they're pretty expensive though

I am sort of fussy when it comes to "bag toss". You can get bag toss games almost everywhere but most of these are not made to "American Cornhole Association specifications." When I play this game, I insist on doing it right with the boards the right distance away and made of the correct materials and the right dimensions. The boards can be home made but they better be the right dimensions and distance if I am going to play, and the bags better be the right size and filled with corn.

I have had very good luck buying them from this place:
https://www.victorytailgate.com/

And here are the bag-game snobs that set the rules:
http://www.playcornhole.org/

I will be set up on saturday, tailgating with my boards, which sport Gopher colors and decals. I keep a string with my corn bags that is pre-measured to be the right distance to put between the boards so it is all official. Most people put the boards way too close to one another.

So are the holes in the boards called corn holes???

A log, a hammer, and a few nails and you've got Hammerschlagen!

I don't think I have ever played the game where we have managed to get through the entire thing without someone making the obvious references.

I haven't looked at that "American Cornhole Association" website in a long time but in finding the link today I noticed they have allowed the inclusion of other less funny names to the game. Probably for obvious reasons.

From their website:

"Our mission is to introduce our friends and neighbors to the game of Cornhole or Corn Toss (some folks call it Bean Bag or Bean Toss) and to establish more standardized rules for Cornhole or Corn Toss play around the country."

I have to assume that you don't get asked to play a lot.

I have an unconventional way of throwing. Everyone else I've ever played with simply tosses underhand. I throw with my palms facing the ground and kind of flip the bags. Some people don't care for that.

Not sure if it was mentioned elsewhere, but I am pretty sure it is a "beer-in-hand" sport.
