I'm suffering from a serious case of survivor's guilt after yesterday. Walking out of the stadium and looking at the IU fans was, as we've been there so many times before.

Absolutely no guilt here. We were due for some balls to bounce in our favor. Get off your "guilt trip" horse and enjoy the ride here with us on the bandwagon.

GO GOPHERS!!!

Funny, Since I had similar thoughts while listening to the radio broadcast, then I thought to myself, that's probably why i've been on the wrong side of this equation for too long...

It's best to do nothing kelly, as you know the IU fans don't want to hear it

I would have asked the IU fans why so many of them were dressed up as empty seats.

Gophers had a 21 point lead. No reason to feel like they snuck away from them.

Eh, they could ask us the same lately. The diehard Gopher and Hoosier fans are some of the best and most underrated in sports for staying loyal for so long with mostly disappointing returns. Few in number compared to the likes of Michigan and Ohio State, but strong in character. Anyway, it's okay to feel sympathy towards the Hoosier fans, but don't feel guilt.

You should invest some time in trying to figure out how you're going to deal with this. It could become a weekly issue...

Guilt? No way, no how. It was hard to watch as Indiana reeled off touchdown after unanswered touchdown, but I kept hoping for the defense to make a play. Cause a fumble or intercept. And there it was, a crazy good ending. I bet you could hear the cheering out on the street in front of my house.

One of the first things I thought of when the clock struck 0:00 was, "This must've been what Badger fans felt like in 2005 when Kucek dropped the snap."

There was definitely a Gopher-esque feel among the IU crowd while exiting Memorial Stadium. That glazed-over look from some, rage from others. I would've felt a lot worse if we hadn't encountered such overwhelming hostility from their students in the 24 hours leading up to the game. Quite strange, since most of them obviously didn't go to the game.

Do tell.

28 straight points by the Gophers, then 26 straight by the Hoosiers. Then give up a long score and the improbable play at the end. We've all been there and then some. I think even many Gopher fans were pretty glazed over and shellshocked after this one.

We thought IU fans were the classiest of all of the B10 fans. Great tailgating set up.

The adults were great. But the students? Lots of anger there. Since they don't actually care about the football program, I can only assume it had something to do with the Gophers beating the #1 Hoosiers in basketball.

TCF has never looked as empty as their stadium did in the 2nd half Saturday.

I don't know how you can have survivor's guilt after being on the wrong end of basically all of these types of games for the past 15-20 years. I can't remember one game where the Gophers were down 14 and came back to win, but I sure can recount a dozen or more where they blew 14 point leads. This kind of goes along with the "luck" thread. I look at luck through the course of the game, and not just the last play. Were the Gophers any more lucky that Indiana fumbled late than the Hoosiers were lucky that Engel dropped that deep ball? If Engel catches that ball, it wouldn't have mattered what Indiana did on that last drive. The Gophers badly needed this win, I could easily see losing a 35-13 lead at Indiana becoming a turning point for this program just as Bailey's missed fg and the Mason meltdown vs Michigan as critical moments in the trajectory of the program. Glad to be on the right side of things for once.

I guess I understand the Hoosiers pain, but don't have any guilt. That team was only second to Michigan in terms of talent at the skill positions among Gophers opponents this year, their future is bright.

On a similar topic, I'd feel terrible for Northwestern's season going in the dumps after a heartbreaking home loss in a statement game (again, we've been there), if it wasn't for Northwestern getting unbelievably lucky against the Gophers over the years. I still feel bad for them, but then I remember the hail mary, the pick 6 (Brew's worst moment as coach by far), etc.
