Some interesting stuff.

- The Minnesota fee for TCF isn't included.

- A lot teams derive no money from student fees.

- It's easy to detect which schools are having trouble with football or basketball:

- There are no full season student basketball tickets at Indiana or Purdue but you can get a basketball/football combo for $270 & $250 respectively, or $30 & $119 for football only.

- Those rabid Iowa students pay $175 for football seasons and $75 for basketball (Or scalp them before games for a couple of bucks? :p)

- Penn State gets $218 for football and just $59 for basketball. That's got to be less then $4 or $5 a game doesn't it?

- Indiana desperate to fill some seats and probably fearing the general public wont do it has "Young Alumni" ticket

Very interesting. I would have expected the MN basketball tickets to be among the highest 2-3 in the B1G.

I still think they should lower the price, especially for football, and then require the students to pick them up each week. Also, the recent-almuni section is a great idea MN needs to consider as well.

Each school stays true to thier #1 sport as well. Every football school has higher football prices and every basketball school has higher basketball prices. The only exception (besides 'free' at NW) is Wisconsin, but the split basketball ticket is a bit odd.

This may be a bit hard for us to comprehend but the split basketball ticket is due to student demand. Think Gopher hockey 2002 - 2007. UW basketball is the hardest student ticket to get on that campus.

This is simple supply and demand 101. NW is free because of lack of interest and they already charge $46k/year to go there, so is it really "free"?

Ask and you shall receive.

$199; also includes Tshirt, 1-year Alumni Association membership, and free tailgate for September 10 Gopher vs. New Mexico State game

Offer available to U of M grads within last three years (2009-2011)

May purchase up to 2 New Alumni season tickets

Tickets go on sale June 1, 2011

New Alumni Season tickets are available to anyone who has graduated from the U of M within the last three years. Example: For the 2011 season, all graduates from the 2009, 2010 and 2011 academic years are eligible.

Season ticket purchasers will receive a one-year membership in the U of M Alumni Association. Please allow 2-3 weeks to process new memberships. Note: If you have already paid your 2011-2012 Alumni Association membership fee, the membership fee that is attached to your ticket price will be applied toward your membership for next year.

Season tickets are reserved seats in section 230 in TCF Bank Stadium.

Season tickets will be sold on a first come-first serve basis sold through the Gopher Ticket Office via phone or walk-up at the Mariucci ticket office.

New Alumni season ticket holders may renew next year's season tickets as long as they have graduated within the past three academic years.

New Alumni season ticket holders will accumulate Gopher Points, ensuring best available seat selection for future season tickets, after their three years of New Alumni eligibility is completed.

That's the first I've heard of the weekly pickup idea. I like it. Recent alumni would be nice if we are putting good teams on the field, otherwise you can scalp for next to nothing.

NU gives out more scholarship and grant money (per student) than any other school in the Big Ten. You don't think the majority of kids at NU really pay 46k per year to go there do you?
They have an endowment of about 750 thousand dollars per undergrad student.

It would be interesting to know what the average undergrad pays to go there.
I know when I got into Macalester they gave me over 30 per year in free aid (that I would not have to pay back)....though I did not decide to go to Mac.
