That's great news. Go Gophers! Ski-U-Mah!
Really great news! Forgive me for my ignorance, but how many spots are in the lot?
Just kidding! This is awesome news and I hope they are able to have it be a fun zone and not overly policed dud zone. Where is the student tailgate lot? This isnt' the thing they tried last year right outside the student entrance is it?

Agree, get your butts in the stadium and watch one of the better pregame shows in the B1G.My favorite two policies:
All cars must be parked 90 minutes prior to kick-off.
The lot will close down approximately 30 minutes prior to kick-off, with the marching band’s playing of The Rouser signaling the lot closing down.
Would be nice if something similar to this was done at every "tailgate" lot.
We had a pair of spots last year and it was so great that two more people bought spots this year. I'd actually say that there are around 100 spots, although last year there were many open, so it must be really taking off this year.
Last year it was pretty student-friendly. They had events and themes every week, and often gave out free stuff like shirts and/or food, as well as a guest appearance by The Jug. Obviously they check ID's and give wristbands to show that people are 21, but there isn't a whole lot of policing; last year we were asked "where our shots were" and had security stop by to shoot the breeze and check football scores with us, which was real nice.
