STrib: U faces skeptical Supreme Court in Jimmy Williams case

Win or lose, this situation continues to reflect poorly on the U, its athletic dept, and Tubby, and I continue to be baffled at the astonishingly poor judgment by Rotenberg or his bosses in not settling this case.

One can only hope that Kaler and Teague will provide better leadership once they settle in.

Joel's legacy.

I wonder if he had it to do over again, would Joel have let Tubby hire Jimmy.

Or is he so principled that he still thinks he did the right thing....no matter the cost?

Why are they challenging the decision, kind of an odd argument to suggest that Tubby doesn't have the authority to hire any of his assistants. Lets make a bad situation worse.

How about Jerry Kill's assistants, he had no authority to extend an offer to any of his assistants, I kind of doubt it.

I've often wondered the same.
