per Amelia:
This one might be more concerning. Minnesota had one of its better offensive games of the season and it still managed to fritter away two eight-point leads and its third Big Ten game. What would have happened if the Gophers hadn’t been so hot from beyond the arc? Not a pretty picture. The Gophers have struggled all year to score inside and showed on Tuesday that it’s nearly impossible without Murphy flexing. What’s more, Minnesota has this tendency to abandon the things that work – like moving the ball and getting high-percentage shots – in moments of distress. The Gophers will have to put it all together to win any game in the league this season and so far, they haven’t proven capable of that.
