Bleed, the suspense is driving me to drink. But then again, all of the Threads on GopherHole are driving me to drink more. Oh well, win-win I guess.

Confirmed: Edsall to Miami? Reply
Take it for what you will but I have "several close sources" in the Miami program that have confirmed if Dan Mullen decides to turn down the UM job, they are prepared to make an offer to Edsall assuming the interview goes well. Coach Edsall had a phone interview a few days ago to gauge his interest and an interview is tentatively set for Monday, December 6th. If a job offer is made, it will not be until after UCONNs bowl game whichever one that may be. Don't shoot the messenger.

Interesting that Miller...

...didn't mention the coach who's generating the most buzz: Chris Petersen. Looked like a pretty lazy reporting job to me, quoting GI and simply parroting the same-old-same-old about the usual suspects. Worthless.
 



Maturi has done a great job in keeping things under wraps as he always does. Everyone is throwing out names and has no idea who it's going to be. I would not rule out anyone right now. Not even Mike Hohensee.
 

The thing that concerns me is that it's easy to keep things under wraps if there's no hire because no one will take the damn job!!!!
 

Mullen ruled out?

Miller says that Mullen was ruled out this week. When was that and by who? Did either he or his school state he was not a candidate?
 

I have a feeling that Doogie, MV, Zach and ATTF were wrong when they said this is a done deal and would be made formal on Monday.

Why do you feel this way?
We have heard that an announcement is 30 hours away. The hire has been made and will be here tonight. We have also heard there will be a presser tomorrow or Tuesday. Finally that the hire coached this weekend.

Going off this info we would not have heard anything yet. The first info will probably start to come when the hire tells his team this morning and they start to tweet there coach is leaving. If there is nothing as we go into the evening then you could be right.
 

It has to be over, all along Maturi said he wouldn't be talking to the media until the search was done, why else would he be hanging in his office and talking to the media. The work is done.

He said he wouldn't be talking to the media as a group.
 

Boise State players are not allowed to tweet during the season (I believe?) If Petersen tells them he is leaving, I am sure that rule will still apply. Looks like we find out when someone arrives.
