per Joe:

“We’re fortunate that we’re winning under these conditions [with Kill’s health], but even if we weren’t, I know we’ve made the right decision about how to let Jerry get back on his feet,” Kaler said. “And I’m glad he’s making progress, and I’m very glad the team’s making progress, and I’m glad there’s this excitement in the community about Gophers football again.”

Go Gophers!!

Kill, who began a leave of absence to treat his disease on Oct. 10, worked from the coaching booth for the fourth consecutive game Saturday as the Gophers defeated Penn State 24-10 at TCF Bank Stadium.

The team's success is a great story.. wish the media - especially locally - wouldn't twist the truth to try and make it better.

What part of the bolded statement is wrong? Do you want to quibble about whether he was working against NU? This is his team and his coaching staff.

You need to leave this board, you do not bring any content.

How is that twisting the truth? I guess you could question the use of the word coaching but he has certainly had an effect in each of the past four games.

You guys go ahead and see what you want to see. I'll continue to be annoyed by dishonest spin. Not a huge deal; nonsense is written every day.. but, the "twisting the truth" was being kind on my part.

There are hundreds of stories contradicting what I took issue with, but let's see what the same author that says Kill, "worked from the coaching booth for the fourth consecutive game" has said in the past (per this article, for example)...

Gophers acting head coach Tracy Claeys said he didn’t know Kill, who is on indefinite leave to treat his epilepsy, was coming Saturday until an hour before the game.

Players didn’t know he was coming until halftime, when he walked into the middle of the Gophers locker room and gave a quick speech...

Claeys said there is still no timetable for Kill’s return to work, but this was viewed as a sign he is making good progress.

“I was asked if he would watch the game [on television] if he wasn’t there; I couldn’t answer it,” Claeys said. “So that’s your answer: He jumps in a car and gets his wife to drive him. But it also shows you, those kids mean a lot to him, they really do.”

Kill watched the game from a press box coaching booth, though team officials said he wasn’t giving instructions.

O.K. You got me for a while there. I didn't realize that your entire goal on GopherHole was to present yourself to be as big a prick as some of the other local big media scribes. I'm guessing that has been an attempt to prove that you belong in the big leagues.

I honestly wonder what you're doing here, seeing that you are a Marquette fan. Are you not welcome on any of their boards? Is there nothing newsworthy going on at Marquette that might better serve your true passion?

You got that right Pig Man - Here is truth that everybody but trolls can agree with - as dpodoll would say Gopher Warrior is a tool. It is clear that it is not "truth" he is interested in. What he is interested in is finding another way to make another negative comment. That is because Gopher Warrior's argument is irrelevant and immaterial as to what has been taking place over the last four weeks. It is a red herring.
