As deflating as the Illinois loss was, the Gophers could quickly restore faith by reclaiming Floyd of Rosedale from the Hawkeyes.

“This football game against the University of Iowa is a big one,” Gophers senior Cameron Botticelli said. “Some would say it’s the biggest game we play all year.”

Go Gophers!!

Does the subtitle insinuate that we are not expecting to win?

"The Gophers have several unexpected wins over the Hawkeyes in recent years."

The timing is always right to beat Iowa.

Strange headline but I guess I kind of see the point he was trying to make. Bottom line on this one is that the team has had two weeks to prepare for this one and with a high emphasis being placed on starting fast if we see another lackluster performance in the first quarter that is going to be very disappointing.

I am expecting a hard fought close game but we need to come out of the gate firing on all cylinders. We start slow again and fall behind early and we could be in for a long day.
