In a wide-sweeping disciplinary move by the school, Hamline announced Friday it has dismissed a player from its men's basketball program, suspended head coach Nelson Whitmore indefinitely and suspended 14 other players for various unspecified lengths in conjunction with an alleged assault after the team's New Year's Eve game in Spokane, Wash.

Hamline basketball player Eugene Lawrence, a first-year player from New Orleans, was "dismissed from the basketball program and suspended from the university pending a formal hearing," the school said in a release. In addition, it was announced the team will forfeit Saturday's scheduled game at Gustavus Adolphus.

Go Gophers!!

Wasn't/isn't Anthony Tucker a member of the Hamline basketball team?

Sounds like a team full of class acts to me.

Tucker never played for Hamline. There were rumors of him transferring there after he left Winona St., but he ended up at MSU-Moorhead playing for one of his former coaches at Iowa (Walthall). He's having a pretty fantastic year in that league.
