“I’m not going to worry about the facemask [penalties] because they were effort plays,” Gophers acting head coach Tracy Claeys said. “Everybody wants to point out what [Hageman] doesn’t do well. He gets better and better every week, and I’ll put him up against any D-lineman in the Big Ten.

“If they had a draft for D-lineman, I’m telling you, I would not want to play against Ra’Shede with the way he’s playing and how much better he’s getting each week.”

Go Gophers!!

Is Shede physically OK? They mentioned possible concussion......

Yeah...Nebraska made a big mistake thinking they could block him one on one in the first half. Lesson learned...he was double and triple teamed the entire second half.

The face mask penalties were just bad luck. His arm got pushed up and his hand landed on the face mask on the first one and Martinez was going down and Shede caught the face mask when was wrapping up him up. Still, rattled Martinez and changed the NE game plan in the second half.

Philly, you are dead on. Martinez was looking for him on every play.

I'm not gonna lie to you highwayman...if I was playing QB, I'd be looking for that monster on every play too. He is a big scary man!

its really too bad that he had those 2 face mask penalties he could have had 4 TFLs and 2 sacks in this game instead of just 2 TFLs and one sack, he would be at 10.5 TFLs instead of just 8.5 this season, i'm not mad at him or anything like that, just bad luck, and that cost us a field goal by Nebraska at the end of the half to give them some momentum, but 2 TFLs is still good and i guess that if he wouldn't have gotten the first face mask then then he probably wouldn't have gotten the second sack and on the second face mask the ball went out of bounds to it wouldn't have counted asa TFL anyways, he played a great game and hopefully he also moves up on the draft boards from this game, Walter football had him gong 10th before this, he could move up to 8 or so after this performance

Another difference with this team versus previous was that penalties like that would turn the game against them. Like NW last weekend the called back TD and the bad PI call. I love the toughness and confidence that seems to be growing each week.

What Ihope for is a d-line recruit looking at RH and saying Minnie would be a great place to hang his hat.

His sack happened after the face mask call. If they don't call the face mask, the next play doesn't happen

One of the most impressive plays of the season was when Hageman just got Abdullah from behind on a screen. It looked like it was going to be a TD just like Michigan got when they caught the Gophers in a blitz. I just got done saying, "Oh, sh*t," when Ra'shede seemed to come out of nowhere. Watching the replay, I appreciated the effort and the talent that play took even more. He was well upfield rushing Martinez when he recognized the play and peeled off to hustle the other way.

I didn't realize Optimus Prime was wind powered.

It is not that unique. I hear Dr.Don is also wind powered. I am not sure exactly where it is coming from but I have it on good authority from Parski that it isn't coming out of North Dakota. All Parski would say was that it was big dark secret where it came from.
