per the STrib:

Matt Limegrover wants the Gophers offense to build momentum for the Aug. 28 opener against Eastern Illinois, but there’s been one constant challenge during training camp: the Gophers defense.

The Gophers will scrimmage at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday, and Limegrover, the offensive coordinator, hopes to see more progress than he did earlier this week.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do,” Limegrover said. “The great thing about it is, we’re struggling a little bit right now, but I think that has a lot to do with the guys we’re going against. When [defensive ends] like Michael Amaefula and T.C. [Theiren Cockran] are coming off the edge — they’ve been a handful.”

Go Gophers!!

And that's the way it should be at this point in the fall camp. And if the problem is the edge where are Campion and Lauer? Tight Ends? Running Back blocking. Its early, but have we developed a screen game? How about a lead draw.

I think that at this point in the 11 on 11 drills the coaches are keeping it plain vanilla and working on basics. It'll get more complicated once practices are closed.

But, but, but. Limegrover sucks. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I would be way more concerned if our offense was rolling through the defense. We know the offense was a work in progress last year- if they were steam rolling the defense at this point, I think we would be way more concerned on how we could stop anybody in the Big Ten.
