per the STrib:

Each win is a big step forward, but the Gophers aren’t making a big deal about the numbers.

Kill said the Gophers need their fans to pack the stadium and that the players have to come out hungry. But he doesn’t want to overstate the importance, either.

“I think we’re playing pretty loose right now,” he said. “I think early, we were pressing so much, and now they’re just playing hard and having fun, and not panicking.”

Go Gophers!!

I agree with the the team taking this approach. Progress is being made, as we're all seeing, and we're bowl-eligible now, so that monkey is off the back. Gophs have already exceeded any major media expectations, so now just keep things rolling and play to win, rather than playing not to lose. Focus on improving every week, and correcting mistakes, all with an eye towards the overall arc of program improvement.

Keep the squad having a blast playing, and let things fall where they may.

hope the squad continues to play with nothing to lose. anything on top of what they have done to this point is just added gravy to an over-achieving season thus far.

UpNorthKid, I agree with you, but this team does have some special seniors playing with Manuel, Hill, Hageman, Mike Henry, Vereen... Maybe they are not over achieving, but they have just realized their potential through good coaching and finally getting some spark on offense?
