Nice profile from Joe Christensen:

Great losses have meant great gains for a top Gophers football assistant.

“Being able to go play with my kids, and roll around on the floor and wrestle with my son,” Limegrover said. “Or go to the Children’s Museum, and not say, ‘You guys go ahead, I’ll watch from out here.’ ”

Limegrover and his wife, Ann, have two children, Emma (10) and T.J. (8). The whole family was seen after a Gophers football practice last month, playing softball together.

“He’s definitely not as tired,” Ann said. “He bounces out of bed in the morning and doesn’t complain. There’s that sparkle in his eye, which he’s always had, but he’s even sharper now.”

Go Gophers!!

Good for him for:

-Making a huge positive change

-Approaching it seriously and smartly

- Maintaining his privacy until he was ready

-Sharing his story to help others

What a class act.

Neat story. With a name like Limegrover, it's mandatory that he has made a life out of playing and coaching the offensive line. His name is a favorite of mine, a close second behind Kirk Lowdermilk.

I did a double take when he was being interviewed at half time of the spring game. Congrats and good for him!

Limegrover's not half the coach he used to be! Get it?

In all seriousness, congrats to him for making such a positive lifestyle change that will help him enjoy the time with his kids, and in all likelihood increase the number of years with them. I think this kind of initiative and work ethic is something that will rub off on his players.

The dedication and perseverance it takes to lose that much weight is amazing. Our daughter has lost close to 60 pounds since early January. Once she made up her mind, get outta her way as its just a matter of time before she reaches her goal.

It is astounding what one can do. It will be two weeks Thursday since I last had a Summit Saga and I am still alive!!
