per the STrib:

With a guard-loaded team, the move could make some sense if he could get his power-forward stand-in to play tougher around the basket. With the Gophers, it seems to be worth the experiment since the natural fours on the team aren't very rebound-oriented anyway. In Friday's exhibition against Cardinal Stritch, King had just a single rebound and Osenieks had three.

At one point in the first half, Pitino played a lineup of Maverick Ahanmisi, Malik Smith, Andre Hollins, Austin Hollins and Elliott Eliason.

Go Gophers!!

It could work in spurts, i'd like to see Dre, Dre, Malik, Austin and Mo. Maybe sub out Malik for Wally

Malik's got some size, and he can rebound. It can work in stretches if he's on the floor.

Wally should be able to grab some rebounds if he's really up to 6'7 - we all know he can jump. I have to think he'd be a crucial piece if we are going to be successful with 4 guards on the floor for extended periods of time.

Oto and King are our 4's, make the best of it. I'm hoping Not So Huge Mo can give us minutes in certain situations, but we will need the 10 fouls at the 5 most nights. Malik and Austin are below average rebounders, whereas McNeil is above average. We're in a tough situation, but putting players in the wrong position rarely helps.
