per the STrib:

But for whatever reason, Andre Hollins has made a habit of accelerating his game in the postseason.

"That's happened since high school -- I always take it up another level when it comes to the postseason," Hollins said. "Just the mentality, not wanting to go home early ... I just take that to heart and leave it all out there on the floor."

Last season, the guard had two of his highest-scoring games of the season in the NCAA tournament, notching 28 points against UCLA and 25 points against Florida. In his freshman campaign, Hollins exploded for career-highs of 25 and 21 points in the Big Ten tournament before continuing the surge in the NIT. In that postseason, he averaged 17.3 points a game after averaging 6.6 for the rest of the year.

Go Gophers!!

I'm not buying that he's 100%, but I think he's close physically and it's mainly mental right now. Hopefully the week off, limited minutes vs PSU, and past 3 days are just what he needed because now is the time to turn it up a notch.

I am thrilled that he feels this way. I think the kid is an absolute gamer. If he is ready to go off, and believes that he can, he can carry us. I am looking forward to at least one game in tournament season where he just goes unconscious and shoots us right to a win

Between him and Malik, if one of those guys gets hot and the team can play CONSISTENTLY well on defense, they can make some hay.

Dre is the kind of player that could carry us to the championship game. He proved that with a couple of huge games 2 years ago which got him on the all tournament team.

Mathieu needs to keep playing well, particularly taking care of the ball. This is the most important thing. If he does that, the others will have a chance to do what we hope they will do - including Dre.

Andre really stepping up is a must if we want to get two wins here in the BTT!

Can you guys imagine what the Gophers could do if BOTH Andre and Malik find a zone for the upcoming games???
