Is it just me, or does every single team we play look bigger, faster, and stronger?

Yeah, I get that other big ten teams have additional coaches/resources, but it seemed the case even with South Dakota (especially their offensive line).

it's just sad.

no, they are just better coached. when you are out of position, have no idea what you are doing, you tend to look small, slow and weak. it is that simple.

+1

We could be loaded with players who all have the potential to be first-round draft picks, but if they haven't been coached well and are routinely out of position, then we will consistently lose. Now, we don't have anywhere near that level of talent and we're poorly coach. Hence the sorry state of affairs.

I don't think our S&C program is the reason we're brutally, brutally bad.

I'm not saying it's the only reason - you probably haven't seen my other posts. It's just yet another reason; not the only one.

Seeing our D-Line and Linebackers get blown away all game the way that they did (did anyone notice what happened to Edwards on one of the WI touchdowns in the first quarter? Literally blocked through the back of the end zone. It shouldn't happen to someone 350 pounds), makes me think it is a combination of both - obviously confusion, which I realize slows everything down, but I just would like to see one of our d-lineman dominate somebody physically, just once.

Bring back Jon Schlect.

When you have guys starting like Henderson, Collado, Grant, and Theret - yes, every team is going to look bigger, faster and stronger. No S & C program in the world is going to change it.

It's about the TALENT.

Yes

We were way oversold on the quality of the players and their conditioning. Coaching was never mentioned as an asset, with the exception of the SCC. What opened my eyes was a comment by Kirksey coming back from the B10 preseason press conference in Chicago. To paraphrase he said conditioning was tough and he did not care for it. With a wink and a nod, it looked almost if he was rather lazy about it. Really took the shine off everything for me. It has been all sizzle and no steak. I'll eat my steak raw from now on.
