Probably going through a real rough time right now. The obvious pressure of coaching at USC and I read he's getting a divorce. Hopefully he's got people around him that can help him.

I blame the search firm who suggested him.

Heard he had a few similar episodes at UW

It says he was drinking Fireball. I've never had that stuff, however, I have had Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire whiskey. That stuff is wickedly too easy to drink!

Fireball is a great November game flask drink. For those who are into that sort of thing.

It's pretty tasty in some hot apple cider when in a cold tailgating lot. But drinking it straight tastes too much like cinnamon flavored mouthwash to me.

I hope he doesn't used the overserved excuse.;)

Steve Sarkisian addressed media members before USC's Tuesday morning practice and apologized again for his behavior at Saturday night's Salute to Troy event.

He said his behavior was a combination of combining alcohol and medication. He said it wasn't a lot of alcohol but that he "responded in a way that was not acceptable for me or the university." He did not reveal what kind of medication, but said the university was aware of it.

I'm not saying I endorse his actions, because he is paid to do many things including represent the University in a professional manner. However, haven't many of us had one of those evenings? I tried to watch College Football Live this morning on ESPN and they talked about this for about 10 minutes - move on to the next subject! Is there really nothing else to discuss a week away from the season?!

If you ask me, ensure he apologizes for his actions, and ensure it doesn't happen again. If it becomes a repeat offense take disciplinary action and/or look for a new head coach.

Being paid seven figures, getting sh1tfaced at a company gathering, and acting like a total d1ckhead? Nope, can't say I've had one of those evenings.

I really like Sarkisian and hope he stays at USC for a long time, but his actions were beyond inappropriate and he deserves whatever punishment he gets, up to and including termination.

Nope, I heard it was the, "I took a medication and it caused and unexpected reaction with alcohol," excuse. Charlie Taffee used that one after a DUI while head coach at the Citadel. It worked, but not for the second DUI.

I might have to find this cinnamon flavored mouthwash. My dentist would be very happy with me! I've always thought Fireball tastes exactly like the Atomic Fireball, which happens to be my favorite candy.

Like Go4 indicated, the analysis is on the $.

Sounds like he may have been over-served. Did the university president comment on the incident?

That one is pegging the BS meter real Good!

Good to see the collective moral compass on GopherHole is strong and vibrant. Damn those who dare make mistakes in life and damn those who think they should ever be given a second chance. Even if the righteous on this forum are void of knowledge of the circumstances that may have lead to the outlandish behavior. Then again, judge not lest thee be judged.

I think we finally found someone who has had "one of those nights"

Pray for me brethren!

Was Teague at this? maybe they were spiking the liquor to explain their behavior? #blamethealcohol

Sounds like now he has been asked to take a leave of absence.

Yikes, not good at all. It would seem that the kickoff event earlier this year was indicative of something deeper. Shame nobody got to him earlier.

I'd say he and Teague should combine their efforts at their next stop.
