I never liked the guy (slick-haired choach) but I can't understand why Iowa fans wanted him gone so bad.
 

I always thought he'd be coaching at Indiana, looks like that might be a possibility.

Better for us with him out of the Big Ten. Good coach.

Alford was one of the slimiest of coaches in D-1 ball while at Iowa.

His handling of the Pierre Pierce sexual assault scandal was reprehensible, and his hypocrisy following it was ridiculous. He also coddled players that routinely under performed academically, and had all kinds of ugly rumors swirling around the program for years.
