How about the 3A/4A championship games, unbelievable drama. Didn't think it could get any better than Osseo's dramatic 3OT win over Hopkins in semis but DeLaSalle's OT win over Washburn was right there. That final 18 seconds is why we watch sports.

Osseo/Lakeville North final also goes down to the wire with Ian Thiesen hitting the game winner at the buzzer.

Love Thiesen's game and he will only get better. He's the type of guy Bo Ryan loves-long/athletic and can shoot from the perimeter. Reid Travis of DelaSalle is also a stud. Both sophomores-hope to see both in Gopher unis in the future.

Only downside was having to listen to Dave Lee stumble through the broadcast. He's still awful and I just cringe with every idiotic lame thing he says; thank you Gopher football for going to KFAN. Richard Coffey was brutal as well, but I think in his case it was just lack of experience.

A word of advice. It's pretty obvious, of course. GREAT basketball games. Lousy TV coverage.

Go down to the Target Center and watch it live! What a show!

probably the best ever amount of super close games. All tourney teams have lame selection process.

The lesson that should have been loud and clear throughout the tournament was this: Learn how to make free throws!

Woodbury could have finished off Hopkins in regulation in the quarterfinals if they could have made any one of three one-and-ones in the last couple of minutes.

Eastview missed critical FTs down the stretch that wouldn't have let EP's Grant Schaeffer do his endgame heroics (9 points in a row at the end of regulation, the first 11 points of overtime, and 41 for the game, all but 2 after halftime).

Washburn would be the 3A champions if Dwight Anderson would have made either of two FTs with 3 seconds left in regulation.
