As someone else posted, we're lucky that Maturi bumbled to a finish (for better or worse) on our coaching search before this second spasm of vacancies appeared. Not that we'd attract the same caliber of candidates, but we'd be fighting it out with the schools like say UConn if Edsall moves on. Especially if michigan's AD decides having a coach who doesn't understand the concept of defense AND is psychotic is a bad combination. We'd be lucky to have a coach by 2011.
