With the excitement of the game and to keep warm, is this one of those games where you stand for all 4 quarters?

i personally would if it meant the whole stadium would do it and be excited and loud for the whole game. will it happen? doubtful

Actually, in 2010 in the home finale against Iowa, our section (103) seemed to be standing for almost the entirety of that game. My memory could be flawed though.

Goldysmom and I will be standing in the plaza, close to beer, wine and food, and should be one he** of a circus atmosphere on Saturday. If someone wants our seats on the sunny side they can have them.:clap:

If you're going to stand, at least do it where your seats are. People were complaining about empty seats at the Penn State game. JHC, people were 2 deep in the mezzanine in the second half.

The players don't even stand for the entire game. I would never expect anyone but the students to stand all game long. I will be standing and yelling on all third downs and big plays as always, like most people do. I just hope I don't have to see too many Skunk fans in section 108!

I imagine we will be standing most of the game. We'll be up above the student section so I don't anticipate it being super crowded.

Once fans discover how much fun it is to follow the teams up and down the field from the concourse they spend less and less time in their seats. And the colder it is the more more crowded it gets in the concourse. Since that is never going to change there will always be thousands of empty seats in the stadium even if the game is a sellout. This is especially true when you include all the people who like to hang out by the beer tents and on the top concourse of the stadium and those going to and from the concession stands and restrooms. It may not look good on TV but the open design of the stadium makes for a very flexible and fantastic viewing experience for Gopher fans. And another nice thing about it is that if you have obnoxious visiting fans sitting behind you for a particular game you can just go watch the game from somewhere else in the stadium.
