Condensed story ahead:

Took a friend to the game today. Unfortunately........one of our tickets went missing. No idea how. Went to the ticket area and asked if we could get it replaced. Happens that the ticket was actually checked in already. Go figure. We accepted this and were about to find the nearest TV so that we could watch the game. The man at the window told us to hang on for a second. He came back with newly printed tickets that were in our season ticket section........but in the second row. He was able to give us better seats than we were in.

Probably doesn't follow the Gopherhole........but thank you. I was upset that one of my tickets was gone, and was devastated that I wouldn't be able to watch the game live. Not the case. Super impressed that it was handled with way. My buddy decided that he wants season tickets of his own (which he's considered in the past) simply because of this transaction.

Once again.........thank you..........and GO GOPHERS!

Contrary to most of the detractors, I have found every interaction with the ticket office to be top notch. My guess is that most people that have had problems with them are pr!cks.

So that's why my tickets weren't there when I went to the will call window. They gave them to you! :p

Seriously though, that's great customer service.

I agree, it's good customer service. It's always possible that someone might try to scam a free ticket, but keeping customers happy is worth the slight risk of an occasional ticket scammer.

Ha! +1. Same thought here. :D

That's what I was thinking. "I wonder how many people try to scam tickets". Of course.....with my season ticket information.....and the fact that I was decked out in gophers gear (spent over $100 in goldy's locker room during halftime the week before) from head to toe (yes.....my feet. I have maroon and gold high-top air forces).....it was probably apparent that I wasn't doing that. To be completely honest.....I wouldn't have held a grudge if they would have sent us away without tickets. It was my fault. I misplaced one of the two tickets.

Did you go up by your real seats to see who was in your chair?

When someone does something for you that they don't have to do, it does make create a very positive impression, and makes it more likely that you're going to want to come back. It would be easy to scam a free ticket, you have to balance avoiding being scammed with providing good customer service. I think there were over 1000 unsold tickets, so giving you one didn't turn anyone away.

Absolutely. I would never give my season tickets up either way, however. Oh.....and they didn't just give us one ticket. They gave us two tickets so that we could sit together during the game. I handed my single season ticket off to someone else who was interested in seeing the game. Hope that they were not a scalper.

Did you walk by Ridder arena before the game? I was in a hurry to get to the game but I saw a folded (PDF version) ticket on the ground that looked like it fell out of someones pocket. I didn't pick it up.

No. I came from the Oak Street ramp. And we have solid copy tickets.

I was with a friend and we forgot the tickets at home, they ticket office reprinted them for us after showing them the emailed receipt on my phone. Great service from those folks.
