I know the establishments in stadium village, but is there anywhere that serves a good breakfast/brunch? I don't think I 've ever been there to eat at that time of day. Tomorrow I will.

Thanks in advance.

Al's Breakfast

Great, but small. Must get there early and/or be willing to wait.

be prepared to eat your breakfast sausage, while somebody else's sausage is standing behind your seat.

I have had a breakfast brunch at Sallys on a Saturday morning before a football game. I am not sure if that is something they do just during the FB season or not. Anyway, it was pretty good.

If you are willing to drive a little out of the way.... and money isn't quite an issue...

Jax Cafe

Jax Cafe

JAX is great. They also run a shuttle to most games. If interested I would call for shuttle reservations asap. The last shuttle I took from JAX was $10 round trip with a drink coupon.

Library has all you can eat french toast/ pancakes saturdays and sundays. $2 bloodies too.

For those ill-informed, The Library and Al's are both in Dinkytown and not Stadium Village. Other places include Blarney's and Purple Onion Cafe. I do recall stumbling in to some establishment after a long night of drinking in Dinkytown for breakfast that was pretty tasty, but the name escapes me. Pretty sure it is around the Mesa Pizza area. Also there is a Bruegger's Bagels in Dinkytown and Stadium Village.

You could be thinking of Tony's Diner.

I agree with what someone said above in recommending Al's breakfast. It is very very small, but the food and atmosphere are great.

Does anyone know if you can order take out or 'to go' from Al's? I would feel much more comfortable getting a take out order from there and eating it somewhere else where there's a little more space and not being all pressed in there like that. Or is the whole point of Als in being there and experiencing that?

I am 99% sure you cant do Al's takeout. It would be really nice, though.

Not within walking distance but, across the river in the seward neighborhood is the Birchwood Cafe, on 25th street and 33rd avenue. The best waffles anywhere.

Does the MAC still do a pre-game for BB. Couldn't find anything on their website.
