- The 1982 Metrodome opening day for the Twins in 1982. It was snowing and if I remember it right, water coming down the steps and into the crowd luckily, NOT in our section.

- It took us an hour-and-a-half to get back to our Pasadena hotel after a UCLA-Washington State game in the Rose Bowl. It took them less then 15 minutes to get us to the game.

- If the Metrodome crowd was over 50,000 it would take 15 to 20 minute to get from our lower bowl seats to see friends using our upper deck end-zone seats during half time.

- There were fistfights, drunks, cops and threats IN the stadium when Hawaii came to play UNLV at Sam Boyd Stadium. We left at the begining of the fourth quarter. People told us there were a LOT more drunks, but a lot less fighting, the week before at the UNLV/ Badger game.

- It took us over 30 minutes to get on a shuttle and get back to the parking lot after a Gopher/Northwestern game at Evanston in 2007 and there were only 23,000 in the stands!

- We were at a December Winston Tire Tournament game played on the USC campus. We were going to leave after the first game. We started to leave after the first game but we got out of the building and looked at the crowd out there everyone went back IN the building and decided that watching the second game and going back out with thousands of fans rather then dozens was a much better idea.

More employees, buses and either a lot of training or fool-proof cash registers should solve last Saturday's problems.

Go Gophers, rah!
